Splinter cell is good but it's no MGS.

If by chance they do manage to get it out in Europe for then, there will be so few due to having to fulfill back orders in Japan & USA. I think it will probably be more like this time next year that the majority of people will be able to get their hand on one.
The good thing tho, at least there should be some worth playing on it by then. IMO there's nothing worth bothering with at the moment appart from maybe MOTORSTORM but I'm not pay £500 just to play one game, no wa...
This game looks great, finally I'll have something to play instead of GoW. Mind you I suppose it will not be in Europe for a while yet.

I don't think the majority of these games translate very well into the realm of 3D. Just look at Bomberman it only really works with the 2D version when all four players on on screen. Same thing with Sonic, Yes it looks good but, it goes whizzing by so fast and you can't judge the distances when jumping around, 3D spoiled it.
Same with WORMS and WORMS3D(not as good) I'm sure their are loads more that I can't think of at the moment.
The point is that re-designing ...
I really don't see the point in all this other functionallity. Yes, on-line gaming is great but, the rest. Viewing pictures, browsing the net, watching movies etc.
I think these companies (part from maybe Ninetndo) are loosing their focus.
Most people will have both a stand alone DVD player and PC even if it's not a high spec one. I buy consoles because they're simple to use i.e. you don't hours of installing etc like a PC and I hate using the mouse keyboard cont...
I think this would be well suited to a Gears type game.
Will this be cross platform? seeing as it's a windows Vista title.

I thought this game may be the one that made me buy a PS3 after I saw the target render videos. That's the sort of quality I've been expecting from the PS3 after all the hype about how much power it has and it owning the 360 etc..
But, looking at that video I'm not going to bother at least not for a while. I think the actual game footage looks ok, but it's not a massive leap. The ralley stages on Gran Turrismo 4 looked about that good.

the reason for this is simply that the developers can't afford to make games exclusive, due to the ever increasing costs, but eh who's complaining that means I get to play all these great games on my 360. Giving me even less reason to buy a PS3.
These two games are both great off and on-line, I can't decide which to play each night. GoW seems to be getting the most plays at the moment but, I'll go back to COD3 at some point.

I bet the PS4 will have one of those in it, cus Sony will reckon that the games need it. Ha Ha.

For me it's all about the games and what I've seen so far 360 has it!
There's currently nothing on the PS3 that interests me. The only game out at the moment that I would buy is Motorstorm. Sure there's onther on the way FF, GT:HD MGS4 will all be great, but so will ZELD on the Wii. However I'm not willing to pay £500 just to play a few games or £200 just to play Zelda.
Most of the games I'm looking forward to are coming out on 360 as well as PS3, like ...
